Hi, I’m Stacey

Owner of Conscious by Nature

Some of you already know me as Alex’s aunt aka his right hand woman, from The Conscious Cosmetics Company. Alex has had a change in direction, so we’ve had a bit of a family re-shuffle and you’ll now find me as your point of contact, shipping and events girl. So, although there is a different name, you’ll still get the same fabulous products with a caring and personal service.

Alex has poured love, passion and an extreme amount of hard work building up Conscious Cosmetics and I hope I do him proud with Conscious by Nature. He’s always there for me if I need help and I couldn’t have done this without his support, strength and care.

I’ve been a mental health practitioner for more years than I care to confess to and will be continuing with that alongside Conscious by Nature.

I’ve always been chuffed to bits when Alex has had feedback from customers, saying their scalp psoriasis has cleared up after using the hair oil, or their eczema has eased from the all over body salve and acne has cleared completely after consistently using the face dough.

Some skin conditions can be debilitating, so to be involved in helping to ease those and promote skin confidence means a lot to me. If you know me professionally, I’m all about the harmony between our physical, emotional and mental health. So, if we’re feeling great physically, we are likely to think more positively and feel great emotionally. Win win!

I’ll still find time to walk dogs and be a Great Aunt to the most beautiful Great Niece (Alex’s daughter, yes I’m biased) that a girl could ever wish for. Who knows, she may even walk to the Post Office with me to despatch your order.

Why did we start Conscious by Nature?

Alex adopted a plant-based diet a few years back for health reasons but very quickly became aware of the need for a more conscious outlook on life in general for the animals, the environment, and our future on this planet. This is where the idea of Conscious by Nature stemmed from! It amazed him, and still does amaze him watching friends and family struggle to find skincare that are both cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Did you know that cosmetics products can be labelled cruelty free even if they contain animal products, and subsequently are not suitable for vegans? Did you also know that mainstream cosmetic companies and outlets are allowed to advertise and sell vegan friendly and cruelty free products but have factories overseas testing on animals for their other cosmetic ranges; it baffles me, but that’s why we are here to try and implement a change, however small, it all helps...

We are conscious, are you?

Palm oil is an issue globally and most of us have seen that Iceland advert with the child and the orangutang that pulled on our heart strings, well it certainly did mine. Our products are proudly palm oil free and always will be.

Single use plastics have been at the forefront of our minds for a sustainable future for some time, it is everywhere, food, drinks, cosmetics, pretty much everything. We have minimised it as best we can. Our oil and serum range does contain a small plastic component for hygiene reasons, but we are working on an alternative for this, other than that we are plastic free.

East Coast Sourced & Based

We want to support small family businesses ourselves and keep our carbon footprint low, so everything we stock is hand made locally by a small business in Norfolk.

Our long-term goal is to create a one stop shop for all of your cosmetic needs, with products suitable for everyone - so by supporting us now, you’re also supporting our long-term growth, thank you.
